New and improved interrupt Mesmer
This is an universal interrupt build. I am excited to see it in action once Factions comes out. I definitely wanna see how it works vs interrupt rangers. But again, it's universal, so you can use it versus whatever is bothering you.
14 Domination
10 Curses
9 Fast Cast
9 Inspiration
Skills:
1- Shadow of Fear - Faintheartedness 10
2- Stolen Speed (E) 5
3- Parasitic Bond 5
4- Complicate - Cry of Frustration 10-15
5- Sig of Disruption 0
6- Leech Sig 0 +
7- MoInscriptions 10
8- Res 0
Basic idea:
1) Use SoF-Faint + PB on fighter classes
2) Use Stolen Speed + PB on spellcasters
3) Spam your universal inters
EDIT: You can play around with the distribution points.

Energy management is going to kill this build

Could use Stolen Speed instead of Migraine I guess. It will save the points off Illusion. It's also cheaper and has a much lower recharge. Only drawback is it doesn't slow down cast speed as much as Migraine does but then a good interrupt mes can probably do well with just a bit extra help.
In that case, maybe smth like...

That's very low on the nrg demand.

Looks better, still harsh on energy but due to large number of signets it might even out.

Why don't use shadow of fear? U don't do degeneration but u affect more ppl that way.
And SoF has quick recharge and it's spammable
P.S. use shadow of fear instead Faintheartedness

You know, I completely forgot they reduced its recharge significantly. Yea, degen is not the point, it's the universal interrupts. I guess you could sub SoF for Faint. Good idea, thx.

Problem can arise from Complicate, Rust, or Ignorance. You will be shut down by one skill. I like the build idea but either you need energy or you need signets, stopping one can screw up both.

No offence, but no one uses those skills in the current metagame; it won't be a problem.

Key word "current." I do think that anti-Signet skills are going to become quite popular. But here is the thing: there is no room to fit smth that will counter Ignorance, or Rust, or whathaveyou. I need the 2 hexes that give me better chance to inter, I need my cover-up hex/self-heal whatever, and I need my universal interrupts... which happen to be Sigs... so I need to speed up recharge with MoI.
You can drop one of the Sigs and the Mantra and take both Complicate and CoFrustration, and some nrg management... But I think I'd rather have the Sigs and the cheap spells. Sigs keep you safe from bunch of annoying skills that trigger upon casting a spell. plus they inter universal... so... it's a good trade-off I think.

True; but one major point to keep in mind that all counters for signets are spells-which can be interrupted.
I would still take my power block build over this as I feel I am pretty apt at interrupting (can get WoH and other such spells such as armor of earth 90% of the time); but this is a good place to start if one does not yet have the reflexes.

Ignorance is a real pain to interupt, its also spammable. The bonus is, however, that the only thing that dtop signets are expensive, *mostly* slow to cast, and hexes. I doubt you'd see rust on anything but a FC mesmer as it will become a hassle to interupt at high FC.
I wonder, instead of making it a hybrid, why not make it a purebred signet build, it should open you up to more possibility of personal hex removal. Keystone with the new wave of signets may hold something.

Oh, I am going to make a Sig build but this is an universal interrupt build. Fact is two of the universal interrupts happen to be Sigs. It's like a Migraine build but that works on everything. But yea, I'm definitely going to make a Sig only build.

If you do Sig Build, you can remove your FC to put it elsewhere.

Does that include your weird jungle hair cut (or lack thereof)?
